Based on a 2-year audited average, Upper Valley United Way's current overhead rate is 18.85%, far below the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance recommended rate of 35% for charitable organizations.

During the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, UVUW earned $ 53,452 in revenue from in-kind services, grants and investment income. When applied directly to management and fundraising expenses, this revenue reduces the overhead expense from contributions to 15.47%.
